The crown restores the tooth's shape, size, strength and appearance.
A dental crown is like a cap that covers the entire visible portion of the tooth, protecting its remaining structure and bringing back its original shape, size, and color.
There are a few reasons why you might need a porcelain crown. Severe tooth decay is the most common — in that case, a filling, inlay, or onlay just won’t be enough to stop the cavity. You may also need a crown to fix a tooth that’s been fractured or as the last step of a root canal or dental implant procedure.
At Advanced Dental Group of Hoboken in New Jersey, our porcelain crowns are custom designed to fit your mouth. We specialize in tooth-colored crowns that look just like your natural teeth.

Your dental questions, answered
I have a damaged crown, can you help?
If you have a crown that’s cracked, feels loose, or has fallen out, we can help. We may be able to bond the crown back in place. Other times, a new crown might be a better choice. Our crowns are designed to be a perfect fit and last for 10+ years.
How long does it take for a crown to settle in your mouth?
It often takes two, maybe even three or four days to adjust to having this new crown in your mouth. If it feels uneven for the first two or three days, that's a normal part of having a new crown. Our primary goal at the Advanced Dental Group of Hoboken in New Jersey is to provide you with dentistry that is undetectable and a dental crown that looks and feels like your natural teeth.
